Quarter is Full in Japan

It seems that quarter means full in Japan, because to which ever restaurant you go, you can hardly find a full plate. They all have quarter plates. A person like me will wait and wait and wait till someone will come and tell - mister, this is the plate to eat in.

Now imagine having two slices of a pizza in one small quarter plate. It is like two sumo wrestlers, wrestling on a sleeping matress. To be honest, we have this size of plate, either for bread, or for left over bones.
