| Fog Disturbs Communication in Punjab |

LAHORE: Thick fog has badly affected transportation in Lahore and other cities of Punjab as visibility problem caused several traffic mishaps in which many persons were injured.
Intense mist has blanketed Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and adjoining areas. The motorway was opened after 10-hour closure for transport. The motorway officials have advised the drivers to observe caution and drive on low speed.
The fog also caused four to six hours delay in arrival and departure schedule of trains.
The lower visibility also disturbed various flights.
Chief Meteorologist Mohammed Riaz has said the mercury goes down due to western winds, however the visibility will be improved in coming few days.
