With my days in the east numbered I contemplate bidding farewell to one world and hello to another. It's a sort of emotional no mans land, coming and going at the same time. I wonder if friends in one life will remain and if friends in the other will remember? I wonder whether I will still think eastern or revert to thinking western? Does it really matter where someone lives? Does that affect their relationships? Will I go up to the top of one list and down to the bottom of another? Perhaps there are more questions than answers; only time will tell.
